Dark Darker Iceland / Brigh Brigther Iceland


Too many people think that during winter there is only darkness in Iceland. Too many people are wrong. Nights might be longer, but during the short time of day light we usually have very good weather and plenty of sun. 

Here is a picture of an Icelandic winter sunset.

I guess you are right! Most of us have the wrong picture about Iceland winters... I would never say this is a recent shot taken in Reykjavík :-)

How long is the night in winter ? In Ireland the shortest day would be about 8 hours - from 8:30 to 4:30.

Have you any nice pics of snow for the front of our forum ? It is Christmas now, nearly.

This is lovely and not what I expected for Iceland, in fact the next photo of the chair encased in ice is more what I expected. Glad to know I was so wrong.
