Icelandic´s hospital

Here is a picture that i have taken from the National Hospital in Fossvogur in Reykjavik.

I have experienced them recently and will do more next week. They are very nice so far...from that i have experienced. This hospital is quite recent and have started to be build in 1977 and opened in 1983. The day of this hospital are counted...There is plan to build a huge new one, which will be an extension of the old one down town Reykjavik. Here is a link to a picture of the plan of the new one. Once closed as an hospital, the building will probably become a nursing home.
Icelanders are not like french people they don´t rush to the doctor for anything...and doctor don´t fill you up with medication like it is the case in France. There is no private insurance compagny like in France or in other country and you are quite well covered by the state. You have to pay a small part of it. I think this is vey good system to both responsabilize the people working in the medical field and patients.
